Get Your Jelly On challenge, a retrospect and giveaway winners announced

I think that picture says it all! It’s been an amazing 30 days and I wanted to again thank everyone who joined me in on the fun.

Congratulations to the other 9 bloggers who took part in the challenge, you have created some amazing dishes and inspired me to try my hand at trying out cooking techniques I never thought possible. Thank you to the Royal Selangor team for inviting me to take part and donating a couple of the gorgeous jelly moulds for me to try out – they are stunning and I love them!

In addition to the OLYMPUS camera and the Cuisinart ice cream maker giveaways, I would also like to announce a surprise giveaway of 2 of the Royal Selangor pewter jelly moulds . They are secondhand, I didn’t think of doing this at the start but I was so touched by the comments that I wanted to pass the cone of love on. That’s if the persons are happy to accept them…

Lastly, a special thanks to Yasmeen at Wandering Spice, Sara at Belly Rumbles and Lizzy at BizzyLizzyGoodThings for their support and sharing my posts on Twitter and Facebook.

{Day 1-10}

{Day 11-20}

{Day 21-30}

*drum roll* Now for the moment you have all been waiting for…

The winner of the Olympus VG-110 camera is…

Mr Three Cookies – your entry was chosen at random so a big congratulations! I will be in touch by email to organise delivery.

Thank you to the generous folks at Olympus for supporting our efforts with this giveaway.

The winner of the Cuisinart ice cream maker is…

Apple at Polkadots and Chopsticks! Your chocolate bacon maple ice cream sounds irresistible and I love the think outside the square idea!  I will be in touch by email to organise delivery.

Thank you to the generous folks at Kitchenware Direct for supporting my efforts with this giveaway.

The winners of the surprise (secondhand) Royal Selangor jelly mould giveaway are…

Merowyn (aka Mez) from Blihtely Unaware. Her Mum passed away from breast cancer and it was her comment on the Champagne and lemon tribute jelly that touched my heart so much. Should you wish to accept the secondhand prize Mez, I want you to make that Champagne jelly in a cone when the time comes and celebrate your Mum’s bubbly personality, her vibrant spirit and the life and love she gave you!

Barbara from Winos and Foodies who was mentioned in the same post and who initiated the Live Strong with Taste of  Yellow campaign to help raise awareness of cancer. Herslef a cancer survivor she said she would love to get this mould, if she could afford one. Well, Barbara, this one is for you.

Thank you to the generous folks at Royal Selangor for supporting our efforts by donating two of the moulds to us. I will be ordering my replacement mould this week.

PS Just in case you were wondering… here is a handful of cooked and ready to go cone-shaped dishes that didn’t make the cut. There were also others that just didn’t make it. XoXo

Thanks for the shout out gorgeous. You did an amazing job. Seriously when I first read of your challenge I could not fathom how you would come up with 30 different conical shaped yummies, but you did. Major pat on the back to you for what you have achieved over the past month.
