When I was little, we used to celebrate Valentine’s Day at school more as a friendship and appreciation day, actually. I quite like the idea and with a little help from my friends at Loving Earth, I’m here to say THANK YOU with a whole lot of LuvJu chocolate!
Thank you for stopping by, for reading, for connecting on email, Facebook and Instagram. And thanks to the Loving Earth folks for having me on as a Featured Foodie – you can read my Featured Foodie interview here and grab a few recipes from The Wholesome Cook book on their page as well. As for the chocolate, well, it’s a bit of a favourite of mine – especially the cashew caramel (yup) and the hazelnut flavours. It’s raw, it’s vegan, it’s fair trade – supporting grower communities, it’s dairy- and gluten-free and sweetened with unrefined stuff. And it’s super YUM!
Giving something else back
This year we are also going to celebrate Valentine’s Day by partaking in The Hunger Project Australia’s A Table to End Hunger initiative. They’ve teamed up with some of Australia’s best restaurants to reserve a handful of booked out tables for the Valentine’s weekend sittings and have auctioned them off with ALL proceeds going to The Hunger Project. We won the table at Bennelong Sydney’s cured and cultured counter and were thrilled to be a part of the project that gave back some love, too.

Any way it comes, i dont discriminate
My favorite way to enjoy my raw chocolate is with a big cup of herbal tea or an almond milk chai while my 10 month old baby girl is peacefully sleeping. It makes the ‘mum time’ that extra bit indulgent and enjoyable xx
My favorite way to enjoy raw chocolate?
First I let the chocolate slightly soften in the warmth of the sun. (Ok I live in the Northwest so I might have to resort to the sacrilege of the microwave for a few seconds!)
Lounging in a hammock with a good book, toasted, lightly salted almonds, a bowl of ripe, whole strawberries, my oh so divine chocolate and a glass of Barbaresco wine, I then slowly savor alternating bites of these different delights between sips.
Yup this is how I LuvMe with LuvJou.
Happy Valentines Day and thanks for generously sharing your chocolate with us, Kystal!
Oh my! A typo!!!
A if thanks to KRYSTAL for this contest. I will always remember now to enjoy my raw chocolate by sharing it with my friends!
I like to make chocolate for my loved ones – keeping it rich and pure. It’s best shared!
Sounds like a great way to celebrate!! Well wit the chocolate I really can’t quite decide, but it’s come down to banana split with a couple medjool dates (it’s so yummy) or an almond milk hot chocolate with cacao, date syrup and almond butter – I’m starting to feel a little less chilly and cozier just thinking about it :’D aha have a great valentines
In a patch of sunshine, barefoot, beside a jug of flowers…….
My favourite way to enjoy chocolate is sitting and relaxing with a good book in one hand and a chocolate or two in the other.
Quietly .. so I can savour the texture and taste. (and alone .. so I don’t have to share)
My favourite way to enjoy my favourite Loving Earth chocolate is quietly and mindfully and without any distractions, so I can savour every mouthful.
All. By. My. Self! Yum
Though I could easily eat an entire block of chocolate myself, a single bite tastes a million times sweeter when you share it with a group of friends, either after a dinner party or all cuddled up watching a movie on the projector!
My favourite way to enjoy (raw) chocolate is to share it with my loved ones when watching a good movie :)
I love sharing a little bar at work to get me through the afternoon when the $1 office freddos are calling my name.
On a blanket on the lawn at dusk, listening to a chorus of cicadas and kookaburras, chatting with hubby and bub! Yum!
Once the children are tucked away in bed I love to share a few chocolate pieces with my husband whilst we finally catch up about the day.
Anytime alone or with someone I love. But if I have to choose one then maybe movie time with my husband. Sharing it’s caring. :)
I love dipping chocolate into my rooibos tea – just enough for it to start melting and then enjoy the warm slightly melting deliciousness of it!
With a piping hot cup of full cream milk. Taking little bites (it has to be 70% dark, otherwise it’s too sweet) and letting the milk melt it in my mouth to make an instant hot chocolate.
I love to leave it in the fridge, then put it in my mouth and suck on it til it melts!
Caramel and raspberry loving earth flavours are my fave!
Slowly, so I savour every mouthful. :)
Relax and indulge enjoying the truly lusciously smooth creamy decadent taste. Sit and enjoy rich deep intense flavour with a cup of coffee.
I love to have it with a cup of tea in my bath, a bit of music in the background and a good book
I love to savor a single square of Loving Earth Salted Caramel Chocolate in my mouth until it melts. The flavor lingers and I feel so content – ahhhh.
Chocolate nice and warm at night, in cookies or muffins or on its own, I like to eat every bite!
I love eating chocolates while in bed with the television on.
And then slowly falling asleep with chocolate crumbs on my blanket.
I love chocolate with fruit. So whether it’s strawberries dipped in chocolate, banana and chocolate coins, mandarin pieces half dipped in chocolate or chocolate bark with Goji berries, nuts and seeds.
My favourite way to enjoy chocolate is with a hot cup of tea as it slowly melts away in my mouth. Bliss.
I gaze into the large creamy decadence and I imagine it entering me. I put it deep in and swirl it back and forth GLUP!
I just adore chocolate in any of it’s forms. You can never go wrong with a chocolate cake with chocolate icing though. Of course, such chocolate must be dark and preferably refined sugar free. :P
My favourite way to enjoy a good piece of raw loving earth chocolate is to eat it either by itself, or half melted in some good quality nut milk for a delicious hot chocolate.
I adore red velvet cakes. There’s just something so intoxicating about them. :)
I usually enjoy chocolate most after a long day as a treat after dinner.
Thanks for the post. i love chocolate very much. In my childhood, I love it . If chocolate with added coffee flavor. Its really awesome for me. Still my hubby everyday bring chocolate for me. :P
With a cup of tea in the morning. A very guilty pleasure that I hide from my loved ones :)
